gone fishin’

May 1, 2011

Yesterday we packed up and went out to the river to try and catch some white bass. And while the fishing was great (caught at least 15 in just a couple hours), the sight of my little redneck one-year-old daughter encountering fish out of water for the first time was even better…

Imagine my surprise when I turned around and saw this:

That little tomboy elbow-deep in a bucket full of flapping white bass!

Because she was so intrigued, we decided to let her have a closer look…

Safe to say she wasn’t afraid to get up close and personal.

And when we asked her “Where’s the fish?” this is what she did…

…and then proceeded to shove her hand in again one last time.

She is such a curious and crazy little thing and I think her Dad was quite proud that she wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. I think he’s got a fishin’ buddy for life! Can you guess what we had for dinner???
